Default Kenmore Dishwasher Drain Issues
Brand: Kenmore
Model Number: 587.16259402
Age: Less than 1 year

I recently (3 months ago) purchased and installed a new Kenmore Dishwasher. We have run it 3 times (we are not big dishwasher people) and each time there is water left in the bottom of the tub. Here are the troubleshooting things I"ve tried

1) Drain plug in garbage disposal knocked out YES
2) Loop in drain hose where it ties into garbage disposal YES
3) Kinks in hose NO
4) garbage disposal clogged NO

I have the unit going directly into the garbage disposal. I ran the dishwasher tonight and watched. It drained fine while I was watching. Then I went downstairs and forgot about watching the final drain. By the time I went back up the cycle was over and water was in the bottom.

I've got a Sears (that's where we got it)guy coming out next week. What other issues might be causing this ?

Thanks in advance for the help.

Mark

If is draining in the first cycle it should be draining at the end.

It may be siphoning the water back in to the dishwasher.

The loop has to be quit high.

Check the height of the loop.
