Default Kenmore dishwasher doesn't work
Brand: Please select
Model Number: 665.15919001
Age: More than 10 years

I have no LED lights or display reading on the control panel. There is power to the unit the switch is good and the thermal fuse is good. I replaced the circuit board and the light for normal wash lit up and half of the display screen lit up. It went through one normal cycle which is the only cylcel it would go through. After that it stopped working again. I exchanged the part for a new one and installed it but it doesn't do anything. I rechecked the door switch and thermal fuse and they are still ok could it be the control panel and how do I test it? There has to be some kind of power coming out of the circuit board at the ribbon connector but I'm not getting anything. I would appreciate any kind of input.

What is the part number of the part that you replaced.

Where are you loosing power.

Your wiring diagram should be in the lower panel.

Here is a link to the parts of your dishwasher model 665.15919001.

The part number for the circuit board I replaced is whirpool part number 8528172. I have power at both sides of the switch, both sides of the thermal fuse, and the tan wire at the curcuit board when the door switch is closed. What I don't know is what kind of voltage I should see at the ribbon connector that goes from the circuit board to the control panel.

You should have low DC voltage to the control panel.

I Checked for low DC voltage to the control panel. I'm not sure what terminal is going to be negative so I checked several combinations and I found 3 terminals with about 2.74v and a couple of other terminals with less than .5v. Is there any real good way to tell if the control panel and the circuit board are good?

Check to make sure you have a good ground connect where the power line is hooked to the dishwasher.

Does the dishwasher fill with water.

The control panel shows no signs of power, and the dishwasher doesn't fill. Its just like someone shut the power off to the unit but I have power at the circuit board. I would assume it would have to be the control panel or the circuit board but I don't want to throw more parts at it.

Did you find your wiring diagram?

Check to make sure that when you replace the board that you put the wires on the right terminals.

Here is a picture of your board.
