Default Kenmore 665 Does not drain
Brand: Kenmore
Model Number: 665
Age: 5 - 10 years

Have seen several of this type of problem, but cannot solve my issue.
Took the drain hose apart and it is not clogged. When the drain hose is removed, all the standing water drains (slowly though).

What parts do I order and how do I replace them? Aparrently there is a kit that will likely do it it. I cannot see how to take apart the unit to replace them though. Help.

Can you please supply the rest of your model number?

There should be six numbers after the 665.

Default Complete Part Number

Sheila,

The complete part number should be Model 665, with 15634(0) after the model Number.
Does this give you enough information?

It could be the drain impeller or the check ball is sticking in the drain port.

To get to the check ball you have to take the pump apart working from the spray arm down.

Remove the screw in the filter cover.

Remove the screw in the wash impeller.

There is a tool to hold the impeller but it can be done with out it.

Then remove the screws in the filter.

Remove the drain cover.

Watch that you don't lose the check balls.

Make sure the drain port is clean and there is no build up on the balls.

Check the drain impeller.

Here is a link to the part of your dishwasher model 66515634000.

Here is the impeller kit.
