Unhappy Intermittent Flashing "Glass Express"
Brand: Whirlpool
Model Number: GU2500XTPB3
Age: 1 - 4 years

I found and used the reset code on another post but, after getting my dishwasher working, the "glass express" light is flashing. Nothing consistent with the number of times either. Totally random. That was the original problem when it would keep trying to drain and not complete the cycle. I hadn't selected that cycle either....it just went there all on its own...imagine that.
I cleaned the grinder and everything I could possibly find has been removed. To this point I'm just wanting to get input as to the origin of why this light keeps blinking on it's own.....is the board on its way out? Is there a short in the control panel itself? Thanks for the input.....
**UPDATE: Quit working midway through a "Light Wash" cycle and rapid flashing "Glass Express".....guess it didn't remedy the problem after all. Guess I'll resort to getting the board first unless someone has another plan......

There should be a test sheet in the lower panel or in the control panel of the dishwasher that will help you determine what has failed in your dishwasher.

Here is a link to your dishwasher model GU2500XTPB3.

It won't go into diagnostic mode. I have the tech sheet and have tried, to no avail, and "thought" this forum was for help in that area. Guess I'm wrong. A parts list won't help.....all you want is for me to buy from you??

If the dishwasher will not go in to the diagnostic mode you have a fail control board.
