I purchased replacement springs for the door from Sears, but don't know what position the nylon insert should be in. No matter how I try it, the spring pops off the insert and hangs directly on the metal hook of the arm. The part number I'm using is Electrolux 5300808971.

Can anyone provide a diagram or directions as to how the inserts should be positioned?

The bottom part of the u shaped insert sets on the hinge and the spring goes inside the u.
