I too just rec'd the "PART" I can not see how it's to be put together, both are soild plastic. It looks as if it would fit and work, The slots are there if you can get past the soild piece of plastic...I am not sure what to do.

While it looks like it is the wrong size it's not. It appears to be oversized by an eight og an inch but it goes. I found the best way is to put the assemble on the floor, after alinging the pins up take the hand end of the handle (best if you use one that has a rubber grip) and press it against the latch handle until it snaps in place. I figured it would break first but it didn't and snapped right it. I just did one this afternoon. You will be surprised at how easy it is after you use the right force.

I have a Maytag MDB9150AWS which I'm sure is similar. I purchased the new latch and I understand have the outer plastic pegs in place, but the much larger inner pegs I'm not sure if they're suppose to go in the 2 holes in the gray piece (stretching them a little wider than they are now) or to the inside of the gray piece. I already replaced the Control Panel, but since the latch broke first, I don't know if I have it upside down or what???? Thanks!
