Default How to disconnect door latch switch
Brand: Frigidaire
Model Number: FDB658RAC1
Age: 5 - 10 years

I have the replacement part, but can not find the secret to disconnect the broken door latch switch. The new switch has 4 male metal prongs with tiny holes.

You have to take the outer door panel off to get access to the switch.

Here is a link to your dishwasher model FDB658RAC1.

I have the door panel off. I have my hands on the switch that I need to remove. I can not disconnect the switch. I have pulled at the connectors with as much force as I dare. What is the secret?

Is this the part that you are trying to replace?

If it is there are two screws holding it in place.

Sometimes all it takes is a flat head screwdriver. when all else fails, you're replacing the switch, worse come to worse, you'll have to replace the wire ends and they are around a nickel apiece
