Default High Temp Scrub Not Working
Brand: Kenmore
Model Number: 665.17602301
Age: 1 - 4 years

Hi. My Kenmore dishwasher's hi temp scrub and hi temp rinse feature does not seem to be working. The wash and rinse water is no hotter than hot tap water (120F). Is there an internal water heater, or something similiar, and how can I test it? Thanks!

Check the heating element with an ohm meter.

The resistance should be about 20 ohms.

Check to see if you are getting 120 volts to the element.

Check the thermostat that is in series with the heater.

Here is a link to the parts of your dishwasher model 665.17602301.
