Default GE - pump wont stop
Brand: General Electric
Age: 1 - 4 years

Very basic model ge - motorized timer. pump will not stop running. even if timer is advanced to brand new wash cycle, still never fills (no 120v to float or valve), pump runs constantly.

Sound like the contacts in the timer for the pump are welded together.

Can you please supply your model number?

Default GE WASHER Doesnt stop pumping

GE Washer Model WPSB9080B0WW. After the initial wash cycle, all of the water drains out of the tub and the pump continues to run for 5 min. at which time the washer turns off. ???????

The model number that you have provide is showing the you have an electronic control.

If this is right then I would say the your control has failed.

Here is a link to your washer model WPSB9080B0WW.

Does it do the same thing in every cycle?

If it does your control has failed. Number 35.
