Default GE Profile won't drain or reset
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: GSD4210X65AA
Age: 5 - 10 years

I had turned my dishwasher on and it started, later when I went to empty it I found the dishes still dirty and the bottom of the pan filled with water. It ran the first wash cycle and started the second cycle but then stopped.

I removed the water with towels and took apart the drain to see if any food had gotten stuck. (this had caused problems in the past) It was clear. I put the drain together and when I went to try and restart the machine nothing happens. I hit reset and it stays lit for a few minutes then shuts off.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Check the door switch to make sure that it is closing.

If the switch checks to be OK the problem my be in the control.

Here is a link to your dishwasher model GSD4210X65AA.

Thanks Shiela, the door switch is closing. What control part do you mean? Possibly the power or the signal board?
