Default GE Door Cable and Eyelet Assembly

How do I replace the Door Cable and Eyelet Assembly on my GE PotScrubber 1180? The door dropped hard and heavy a few days ago. I noticed that the door cable was protruding from the lower-left side of the dishwasher. The cable and eyelet are intact, so I assume that the eyelet just detached from whatever sort of attach point is inside the dishwasher.
I see two large springs and what looks like a broken wire protruding from the lower-left corner of the dishwasher.

Does this repair require uninstalling the dishwasher? I have never removed (or installed) a dishwasher. Some tips on removing a dishwasher for repairs would also be very helpful.

Your advice is greatly appreciated.

Can you please supply your model number?

It is located on the inside of the tub where the door closes.

The model is GSD1180X66WW. It is a 1995 model. I have not opened the cover. It looks like one cable snapped and another came loose. Springs are sticking out of the lower-left side. Thanks.

You should be able to replace the cable or spring by removing the kick plate under the door.

There should be a screw on either side of the kick plate.

There are two cables and two springs.

The cable is hooked to the door hinge and the springs hook to the cable.

Here is a link to your dishwasher model GSD1180X66WW.

Here is the cable.
