Default GE dishwasher timer won't cycle
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: GSD2000Z01WH
Age: 5 - 10 years

The timer on the dishwasher doesn't move. If you manually turn the timer it will go from one cycle to the next, but the timer won't move on it's own.

Here is a link to the parts breakdown
GE GSD2000Z01WH Parts List

I am assuming from your description that everything works correctly except the timer does not advance.

Sounds like the timer is shot
If you have a meter
Remove one lead from the timer motor and measure it for continuity

Could be
1. Timer motor burned out. The above checks this.
2. Timer motor not getting any voltage. Bad timer contacts usually.
3. Timer gears stripped.
4. Loose or faulty connector, causing no power to the timer motor
