I unplugged it for 45 minutes.

When I threw the switch to give if power again, the message "PF reset" appeared.

As soon as I moved the lever over to the run position, the C4 message reappeared and the poor pump started going at it again. There was no water for it to pump.

You might have a stuck float on the right side. If stuck up, the computer thinks the washer is overfilled.
