Default Fuse Blows Again
Brand: KitchenAid
Model Number: KUDS01DJBL0
Age: 5 - 10 years

1. My KitchenAide Dishwasher locked up with the rinse cycle blinking..I repalced the Control Panel and the control board with part number WPL 8531010 and WPL 8564542 from parts select...this were the recommended whirlpool parts for my kitchenaide...the washer worked for two weeks and died completely

2. The repair forum suggested the fuse blew..the fuse was open...I changed the fuse and the dishwasher worked for about one week and has died again...I suspect the fuse has blown again

3. I am at a loss...what could be blowing the fuse....the only thing different is the control bord...which was not the original design, but a replacement design...and the recemmended part....all the features worked after replacement...except the dishwasher did not remember the last cycle like the original board

4. HELP

You need to monitor the current draw, but I have seen these dishwashers draw heater current and motor current at the same time and blow the fuze.
Might want to switch to normal wash and no heated dry.ie no heater operation and see if that is the problem.
