Default Fan for drying cycle inoperative
Brand: Kenmore
Model Number: 665.1384k600
Age: 1 - 4 years

The dishes are not drying as a result of the fan that circulates air not operating. The heating element does heat and the cycle completes as it is supposed to. Also where is it the fan located? Its not real apparent underneath.
thanks

In the most of the newer dishwasher there are no fans for the drying cycle.

There is a vent that should open to allow the stem to escape and the heat will then dry the dishes.

Can you please verify your model number?

Thanks for the reply. It is a Kenmore Ultra Wash series, model no 665.1384, I guess the remainder of the number I gave is an extension. So if there is no fan then just the door may not be opening? There is no water vapor exiting the vent as there used to be on the drying cycle. Any other suggestions?
thanks

There is likely a wax motor that is not working.

The wax motor is what open the vent to let the stem out.

The starting of your model number is good but there should eight number after the 665.

Your wiring diagram should be located in the kick plate.
