Default Drains and fills nothing else
Brand: Maytag
Age: 1 - 4 years

I purchased a new double wide that came with a Maytag dishwasher. I cant find model number in any paper work. Im sure its a cheap one tho since it only has a dial to operate it. the dishwasher worked fine for the first yr. But now it fills with water then pauses but instead of washing the dishes it drains the water. i can hear the motor running and it sounds like it is running correctly. but my dishes are not wet. it holds water, i have manually added water it just drains the water instead of washing if i let the washer just run threw cycles it fills like it would for rinse and so on. but as i stated it just drains water instead of doing what it should.

You can find the model number of the dishwasher on the tub where the door closes against.

Have you broken any glasses in the dishwasher in the last two months?

It may be the drain solenoid is faulty or the spring has come off.

Here is a link to your dishwasher model PDB1100MWE.

I have a similar problem. And I have broken glass in the last week. I’ve checked and cleaned all the spray arms and the filter and flow plate. It will run for a few seconds then winds down. The wash motor and impeller seem to be running ok when the diverter and spray arm are removed.

Thanks,
Iggy
