Default Door Latch? Maytag Quiet Series 300
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: MDB7600AWW
Age: 1 - 4 years

This dishwasher is still working fine, but I think it has a switch or something about to give out. The latch that you push to open feels very different than it used to. The latch seems to stick in an up position, and sometimes the dishwasher is difficult to open. It seems like it is about to break.

Any ideas on what parts need to be replaced?
Latch Handle
Door Latch Assembly - with Switches
Door Switch

All of them? Some of them.

Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks

Default I bought the whole assembly

I had the same symptoms. I waited until our machine would no longer work and replaced the entire latch assembly. It's about $25.00 plus shipping. I wish you better luck than me though, I think I also damaged my control board.

It is best to replace the entire latch assembly.
