the latch on my dishwasher broke and now the door won't open. i need to open the dishwasher to remove the dishes. how can I do that. Thanks for any help on this matter.

Turn the power off to the dishwasher.

You should be able to active the release with a screwdriver.

The same thing happened to Mine, I forced the latch open and repaced the broken handle and still had to replace the latch. I put in a new latch and replaced the handle and it works fine now. The problem is in the nylon lock latch, The spring steel spring would not allow the latch to unlock."bent". A new latch dosen't have that spring in it
