I have a GE model VDB3110LCC119 .The door just dropped open and the spring and the cable are bunched up at the bottom betweem the control panel and the door. Any guidance as to how difficult this is to fix? Do you know if something is broken or just unhooked?

You will have to remove the bottom panel to see if the cable is broken or the spring.

Can you please verify your model number?

It is located on the tub where the door closes on a tag with the serial number.
