Question Diswasher on permanent lock --- BAD BABY!!
Brand: Kenmore
Model Number: 66515812992
Age: 1 - 4 years

okay, my lil one like to push buttons. and somehow she managed to put my dishwasher on a permanent lock. i have gone through all the trouble shooting and everything to reset it, to unlock it. it still stays locked. i turn it off and leave the door open on it for about 2 weeks to try and reset that way and it will start a normal cycle as in my previous setting but it will not drain or or dry, it will stop and go to automatic lock. any suggestions? i hate to go and pay for a new warranty thru sears if it something i can do myself. plus my hubby has said he would fix or pay to fix and that has been over 3 months ago. and this is getting tiring. PLEASE HELP!!!!

You will have to replace the electronic control or the key pad.

Here is a link to the parts of your dishwasher model 66515812992.

Here is the control.

It also could be the key pad that is faulty.

Before you order the control disconnect the control from the key pad.

Angry problems arise again!

so i have replaced the control panel. i had someone do it for me actually because it turns out my lil one burned a curcuit of some sort. well now since that is replaced. we tested it out by running a cycle. it did great!!!! well what do ya know it is now flashing a permanent quick rinse light. it is as if the the lock moved to that now. when i hit cancel. they both flash. i tried to reset. i left the door open for over 2 days, i have turned the breaker off for that particular switch for 20 minute to no avail. do i need a new dishwasher or do i just need to call sears in on it now?

oh yeah and it turns out our schematics (sp?) are gone from it.

please help!

Have someone check the wiring connection.

They may have come loose if they were not on tight when they put the dishwasher back together.

The technician sheet and schematics could be in the bottom panel or taped to the bottom of the dishwasher.

well in the bottom panel it has where the schematics once were but the papaers are gone. like someone just never put the sheets back in place. so we had to copy all the wires down and kinda go off on our own sheet.

i will check the wiring and see what that brings up. thanks for the info!
