Default Dishwasher won't stop running
Brand: Frigidaire
Model Number: FDB1050REB2
Age: Less than 1 year

I just moved into a newly renovated home with a brand new dishwasher [purchased about 3 months ago but never used]. I ran it through the 'Normal' cycle just to make sure everything was working okay and now two+ hours later it is still running. I turned it off and ran it through the 'Rinse Only' cycle and it seemed to work fine, completing it's cycle in a normal time frame. I tried running it through the 'Normal Cycle' again and now 1.5 hours later it is still running. There are no cycle times posted in the user manual, but I am sure this is not working properly.

Any help? I'm not sure it is covered under warranty because the ownership has transferred.

Thanks!

If the water is not hot enough when you are testing the dishwasher in the normal cycle it will run until it heats the water.

You water temperature should be 120 degrees.

Run the tap at the sink so the water is hot entering the dishwasher.

Here is a link to your dishwasher model FDB1050REB2.

Thanks for the post, Sheila!! I turned up our hot water heater and am in the process of running it through another test cycle. Do you know how long the run time should be?

If the water is hot the full wash cycle should be about an hour.
