Dishwasher won't start or only work in rinse cycle

My washing machine will not start in regular wash cycle. at times it only works in rinse cycle. I suspect it might be the timer contacts. any suggestions?

This unit would be pretty hard on your dishes unless all you own is Melmac, it comes up a clothes washing machine. Checked another site and also came up as a clothes washer.

Please check your Model Number
