Default Dishwasher won't spray/wash
Brand: Kenmore
Model Number: 66517373301
Age: 1 - 4 years

Hello I have a kemore dish washer mod#66517373301. It will fill, drain, open soap dispenser, but when it goes to wash it will humm/buzz, and the control panel will click but it will not spray. It will do the same thing on the quick rinse cycle. Any ideas?. Thanks.

You have somethiong jamming the motor. Remove spray arm and housing screws on the plastic hosing, and check.

I would think that something preventing the motor from spinning would cause the motor to either burn up rather quickly or overheat and blow a fuse.

I had a similar problem with my Fridgidare where the top rack would not clean and every other function appeared to work correctly. In my case it turned out to be debris stuck in the line and in the spin arms. The motor was pumping the water but instead of going out the arms in was recycling back on itself.

Once I cleaned out the debris it worked fine.
