Dishwasher won't fill but works with manual water fill Brand: Electrolux Model Number: ESL 6124 Age: 1 - 4 years Hi.
my dishwasher starts and I can hear it starting and water running (guessing it's the pump doing something). It's like two loud surpling noises, then it beeps once and stops. I've consulted the manual and checked all the hoses and the screen to the inlet hose. It looked clean, but I cleaned it anyway. Then vacuumed out some water from the inside (with a vauum pump for wine haha ) so the water has free passage. I tried to locate the floater, but I didn't find it. Anyhow I got a tip to fill the machine up with water before I started it. I did that and it then runs, even on a long cycle. I'm no expert, but I think that means it washes, drains the water I put in and then FILLS again for another wash and then goes through the complete cycle. The guy at Electrolux customer service said he thought it had to do with the pump. Does anyone have any ideas what it might be? Thought I'd ask before I start pulling it apart to check all the different electrical parts or calling the repairman, who's ridiculously expensive. |
