Question Dishwasher wont fill
Brand: Frigidaire
Age: 1 - 4 years

I can't get water to fill my dishwasher. No man about the house to help, so please explain what I can do in simple terms. It seems to go thru the complete cycle, but without water.

Check to see if the float in the front corner of the dishwasher is moving freely.

You should hear it clicking when you move it up and down.

You may have a faulty fill valve. This valve let the water in the dishwasher.

It is found under the dishwasher and the water line is hooked to it.

Sometimes the screen in the water solenoid will get totally blocked by deposits like sand. If there is water to the solenoid, pull it out and check for sceen blockage. If not you have either a bad solenoid or no voltage to it.
