My dishwasher won't go through any of the cycles. You turn it on-it starts and will run forever on the first cycle until you turn it off. Is the timer bad? Someone told me to check the thermostat (s). Should I spend $120.00 on a new one or what? Having this checked and replaced by a technition is big money where I live.

Check Your water temperature it should be 120 degrees.

It could be the thermostats.

If you have a meter you can check the thermostats.

If you put it in the dry cycle will the timer advance to the off point?
