Default Dishwasher won't complete all cycles
Brand: Kenmore
Model Number: 665.16532201
Age: 1 - 4 years

Dishwasher fills with water and begins first cycle. Sensing Light and Heating Pause come on and stay on. Dishwasher will not advance from this point. I stop the machine and the heating element is cool to the touch. Can I assume this is a defective heating element or might it be something else? Looking for any help you can provide. Thank you!

Could not find a manual for this unit

Yes the problem could be other components

Try a cycle which does not heat the water perhaps rinse

Check your wiring schematic

Run a regular cycle without a high temp cycle, maybe a rince and hold cycle. If the dishes come out dry, it most likely is the thermal sensor mounted to the tub. If it is the dishwasher has to come out of its place to repair. Good Luck Tom
