Pushing and of the buttons will not start my dishwasher. It stopped all of a suden before it finished. No water was left. I went through the manual test process as shown on the wiring diagram with the following results.

When "pots and pans" key pressed the motor came on

When "heated dry" pressed the heater did not come on.

Does this mean the heater coils need to be replaced? If they were defective whould that keep the washer from coming on when you activate a wash cylce?

The heating element will only come on if sanitary wash is selected or at the end of the cycle to dry the dishes.

If the dishwasher will not come on in the regular cycle it is likely the control.

Have you check the door switches?
