Default Dishwasher will not clean
Brand: Frigidaire
Model Number: Ultra Quiet Plus
Age: 1 - 4 years

Greetings,

My dishwasher will not cycle properly to clean it's contents. It begins the cycle by apparently filling with water, but the water is not pushed up to the top of the washer, it gets about 30% up the outside clear feeder tube and then stops (Is it that not enough water has filled the machine?). So the main symptom is that water is not sprayed during the wash cycle. At the end of the wash cycle, the water is pumped from the base of the machine, but not all of it, there is always a small amount in the bottom of the machine.

So in essence, I guess I am asking, what could cause the machine to not fill the proper amount of water for a successful wash cycle? Any suggestions.

Thanks

The water level in the dishwasher should be about a 1/4" below the heating element.

If you are not getting enough water in the dishwasher shut your water to the dishwasher off and remove the line and check dirt in the screen of the valve.

If you have enough water you may have a problem with the pump and wash impellers.

Can you please supply your model number?

Do you have hard water? On these units you will still have water in the sump as it covers the Water sensor, this is normal.
What cycle did u run?
Stupid question here but have to ask "Did you have the dry cycle selected?"
