When I have to fill the dishwasher, I whine too.
It may be caused by too much water pressure. Try adjusting hot and cold water valves. If the noise diminishes after adjusting valves, it is likely too much pressure. May need a pressure regulator.
If this does not correct the problem, the screens in the water valve may need to be cleaned or the water valve may need to be replaced.
To check the screens for blockage: Unplug washer from wall outlet. Turn off water at inlet faucets.
Allow enough room to get in behind the dishwasher.
Locate hose connections on washer, using a pair of slip-joint pliers turn metal hose connections to remove.
Allow hoses to hang into a bucket to catch water
On the back of the washer where the hoses were connected is the water valve.
Inside the hot and cold water connection on this valve are the screens.
Gently pry out the metal screens with a small screwdriver or with needle nose pliers, being careful not to damage the screens.
Cleans screens with a toothbrush to remove deposits.
Reinstall screens, attach hoses, turn water on and check for leaks.
Plug washer into wall outlet and slide back in to place. |
