Question Dishwasher tripping circuit breaker
Brand: Frigidaire
Model Number: GLDB653AS2
Age: 1 - 4 years

My dishwasher recently began tripping the circuit breaker (with a loud "pop") while running a load. The dishwasher has a dedicated breaker in our electrical panel. I am not using the heating element for drying or for "sanitary" cycle, which requires extra power. In fact, I am not doing anything differently from when the washer worked flawlessly.

I can reset the breaker in the panel and the cycle will continue for a short time, until the circuit breaks again.

Any idea what is causing this? The troubleshooting guide in the owner's manual was no help at all.

Thanks!

You have to see when it tripping the breaker.

Is it tripping in the drain cycle or the wash cycle?

Here is a link to your dishwasher model GLDB653AS2.
