Default Dishwasher stuck in wash cycle.
Brand: Frigidaire
Model Number: FDBB944CS0
Age: 5 - 10 years

I have a Frigidaire dishwasher that is stuck in wash cycle. I recently has a plumber in to do some other work and after he left, this happened. First it was not getting water and it was necessary to prime it. After it started to run it did so for hours on the wash cycle only. It happens whether I use the normal wash, upper wash, lower wash or pots and pans wash cycle. Any ideas at to what I can do before I call a serviceman. Any help appreciated.

Thank you.

What is the temperature of the water going into the dishwasher?

If the water is not hot the timer will not advance.

You might have to replace the thermostats under the dishwasher, if I remember correctly yours only has one. It should have 2 red wires connected to it, and it will probably be in the rear left hand corner attached to the tub itself. The thermostat is about the circumference of a dime with 2 wire connectors coming from it.

In the parts diagram it shows the thermostat as being resettable. Does this mean that it should stll be replaced or how do I reset it? Thanks

these ones arent resettable, they basically open or close at certain temperatures to allow the dishwasher to know the water is hot enough
