My dishwasher dial sticks between the end of the final rinse cycle and the final drain cycle before it starts drying. It does this consistently no matter whether I use pots and pans or regular cycle. If I turn the dial slightly, the dw will advance to the drain cycle and finish just fine.

Is the dial just dirty or do you think there is a more serious problem? Any help will be appreciated, thanks.

Your timer will likely need to be replaced.
