 Dishwasher stops running, starts again when door latch is opened and closed Brand: General Electric Age: 5 - 10 years
The dishwasher stops churning repeatedly in the middle of a wash cycle. I can hear the motor or the timer or something still running in there, but all other activity ceases. When I unlatch and relatch the door, it starts working again for a few minutes, then stops again and I have to unlatch and relatch the door to start it again. Is it possible that there is something wrong with the door latch that is causing this? I have examined what I can see of the latch and it seems fine. Or is this an indication of another problem? |
