 Dishwasher Stops Mid-Cycle Brand: Kenmore Model Number: 587.14143403 Age: 1 - 4 years
My wife and I bought a house two months ago, which came with a Kenmore dishwasher. We've had no trouble until this week, when the washer stops mid-cycle. I've disassembled the spray arm, strainer/filter, and spray arm housing to try to determine the problem, all to no avail. I can tell you that it stops about 1/3 of the way (according to the analog dial) through the regular wash cycle. If I manually turn the dial past this point to about 3/4 of the way through the regular wash cycle, it will continue the cycle and finish, but the soap (which has popped out of the reservoir just prior to the lockup) remains in the bottom of the dishwasher.
I'm a complete novice, but any advice is appreciated. Thank you in advance for saving me $100+ on a service call!
