Default Dishwasher Stopping Mid Cycle
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: MDB7601AWW
Age: 1 - 4 years

Looking for advice...

I have a Maytag less than 2 years old that just started acting up.

It continues to run midcycle on the same setting, it does not matter if it is on auto clean or quick wash. It generally gets stuck on 74-78 minutes left in the cycle.

When you hit cancel it drains as normal. I have tried disconnecting the power source to no avail.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
R

Could be a problem with one of the sensors

Here is a service manual
http://www.servicematters.com/maytag...s/16021814.pdf

And here is the tech sheet. It has diagnostics and timing charts which should help find the cause.

Also you may want to check into this. If unit is older than you listed!!

Finally here is the parts breakdown

Default Thanks for the help....now can you guide me further?

I have performed the Field Service test and have found the following...

That it is a thermistor malfunction, now returning to the manual it tells me that this is located in the tub of the washer but says little else.

"The Thermistor is used to sense water temperature when
certain cycles or options are selected (Refer to Cycles &
Options section). The Thermistor is part of the sensor
mounted in the Tub."

Any ideas of how to isolate this and work on repairing the issue?

Thanks

Could not find a thermistor as a separate part but from the schematic looks like it is part of the turbidity sensor.
