Question Dishwasher stopped working after filling
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: MDB7100AWW
Age: 5 - 10 years

After starting the dishwasher in the autoclean cycle it filled with water but then stopped. The display panel lights are on. I can push any of the cycles or the off/drain button, but nothing happens. It will not drain nor will any of the other cycles work. I would appreciate any help you can give me. Thanks!

Try shutting the power to the dishwasher off at your breaker or fuse panel.

This may reset the electronic board.

If this does not work I would suspect the electronic board.

Default Same thing

Model: Jenn Air Series II
Model No.:JDB8910AWS

My dishwasher does the same thing. It fills up to start washing then pretty much shuts down. I heard a solenoid of some sort clicking and then shutting off. Took a closer look and it looks like it is coming from the circuit board (pcb's).

Do you suppose I need to replace the entire board, or can I replace a component that may be bad? Im very good with pcb's.

Thanks,

Tim

Default nevermind

i took out the pcb and found a broken solder on one of the pins. i resoldered the pin and put it back together and works like a charm.

I would check that out to see if one of your components looks as though a pin has broke free.

good luck

Be careful when you do this because if you put the soder on the wrong part you'll really screw it up. I'd leave it up to a technician to do if for you. He'll probably just replace the board as it will get you your dishwasher running faster for you.
Note: And I shouldn't have to say this but make sure you have the unit unplugged and everything detached from the board if u decide to work on it yourself.
