The door spring on my dishwasher snapped. I would like to make the repair myself. Do I order 2 springs (is there one on each side)? Also, I noticed in the parts list, an item called a "spring linkage," part number 5446. I can't find it, however, on the door parts schematic. Is this spring linkage something I should also order? Thanks for your help.

Yes there are two springs on the door and you should replace both of them.

I'm not sure what the spring linkage is. Take the bottom panel off and see if you can see what they may be referring to.
