Brand: Hotpoint
Model Number: HDA3400G02WW
Age: 1 - 4 years
the cap on the dish soap cup won't stay locked. not sure how to remove either.

Any suggestions on parts to get or to replace?

You have a spring that may have come loose or broken. Its part 840 on this diagram and parts list. It works with part 827. Click on the part list. It shows a good closeup picture. GE HDA3400G02WW Parts List
