Default Dishwasher not starting
Brand: Frigidaire
Model Number: FDB857RJ
Age: 1 - 4 years

I have a Frigidaire Precision Wash Ultra Quite Plus Dishwasher. Whenever I run it through a cycle upon its's completion it locks itself out. I can not get it to do anything, I push all the buttons, open and close the door...nothing. I have to turn off the power to the dishwasher at the breaker and it resets itself and I can run it though another cycle. Again when it completes the cycle, it locks out and in order for me to run it again I have to turn the breaker on and off. I replaced the circuit board thinking that would correct the problem but it didn't, it locked out again. Does anybody have any idea on what part I need to replace or what is causing the malfuction?

It does not seem that your model number is complete.

I would like to see the timer that is on your model and with the number you gave I am not getting that information.

Does your timer have a child safety feature? Check in your owners manual.

The same thing happened to me with another make of dishwasher, in the end all we could find was a worn out rubber by the door.

The actual Model number is FDB857RJB0 and the serial number is TH04789049. I just bought a touch/key pad for the dishwasher in hopes that it might correct the problem. Still, if anybody knows anything please reply.

Mine is doing the same thing. The instructions say that if the Control Lock light is on, then to press "No Heat Dry" pad for 4 seconds and it will flash and turn off. I do this and it does not turn off the Control Lock.

The Control Lock light is coming on towards the end of a Normal wash cycle as it should be draining and getting ready to dry.

It has done this 4 times now and the only way I can get it to reset is to leave the door to the dishwasher open for 24 hours. Then it does the same thing again for the next wash cycle.

It is a Kenmore Ultra Wash Dishwasher and could be one of several model numbers listed on the cover of the manual. (We didn't circle which one ours was exactly.) Either 15801, 15805, 15808, 16808 or 16805. It is 7 years old.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Default Exactly the same

Mine is doing exactly the same as the above post. I have a repair man coming on Thursday but would love to fix it myself. Any suggestions?
