Default Dishwasher not completing cycle
Brand: Please select
Model Number: dishlex global 300
Age: 5 - 10 years

my dishlex global 300 when half way through the wash cycle (on any cycle eg normal, super) it will switch itself off. water is hot and cleaner has dispensed.the only way to get it it to empty out is to switch it off and on again and then press the rinse cycle subsequently it runs through.
very frustrating!
thankyou

You might have the same problem I just had with our Dishlex Global 300. The cycle stops mid cycle and the 'Fast' light was flashing (the light it chose to flash could just be a result of the mode I was using it in at the time). It's been doing this for some time and we've battled on restarting it often but it was very annoying and always ended up full of water when it stopped.

Anyway here's what I did:
- turned machine off and unplugged from wall - VERY IMPORTANT!
- syphoned most of the water out using a plastic tube - pre fill the tube with clear water so you don't accidently get a mouthful of rotten disk washer juice.
- unscrewed the kickboard at the front on the bottom - 2 screws.
- unscrewed a large metal plate - 2 screws.
This revealed the inner workings at the bottom. On the front at the right there was a plastic bottle connected to the main workings with a small tube attached to it. I guess this is an ultrasonic water level sensor (these are much more reliable than the old float switches).
Anyway my plastic bottly thing was jam packed with black dishwasher sludge that was clearly visible from outside the bottle.
- I gently pulled back a little fastening tab on the bottom of the throat of the bottle and gently pulled the bottle out, twisting side to side as I pulled.
- I then pulled off the small tube and proceeded to be amazed by the solidified gunk in there. It had completely covered the mouth of the bottle so that the water could no longer enter and leave freely - causing the dishwasher controller to have a hard time knowing what the real water level was.
- I flushed out the bottle with hot water, using a pen to poke away all the solid bits that had blocked the throat of the bottle. It still had a small amount of gunk in places I could not reach but at least water could now flow in and out freely.
- I then reattached the small sensor tube - pushing it all the way on as far as it would go.
- I put my finger into the main hole in the base to see if there was any dirt in there and discovered a little O ring about the diameter of my finger. I took this O ring out and placed it around neck of the bottle then gently pushed the bottle back in, making sure the little lug on the bottle neck mated with the fastening tab on the base of the dishwasher.
- I screwed everything back together and tried it and whammo - full cycle washing again!
