[spinnaker]

I have a GE Potscrubber model model GSD 1410TAA that is not cleaning dishes or glassware.

Here are the symptoms:

1. For some time now, the water does not seem to start until well into the cycle. I can hear the motor but no water. Once started there are no problems with water. This problem comes and goes. In the past, the dishes still were cleaned even with the late start of water.

2. I felt like taking a shower so I overrode the door switch and cracked open the door. I noticed that that water comes through the sprayers on the arms but the arms do not spin.

The dishwasher empties completely of all water so it does not to appear to be a filter problem.

If I spin the arms by hand, they sip freely.

I tried one of those dishwasher cleaners but no help.


Is this something I can repair or is it just time for a new dishwasher?

This could be the wash impeller not forcing the water through the spray arm with enough force.

This could be something you can fix.
