Default Dishwasher no water in, replaced inlet valve
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: GSD5620
Age: 5 - 10 years

I replaced the inlet valve, when I turn on machine the valve actuates but I still don't get any water. I know I'm getting water to the valve.

Someone suggests I check the voltage to the actuator, how do I do this? what readings should I expect. If the reading isn't correct what part are we talking about replacing?

thanks

OK I've applied power to the input valve and it opens for water to enter.
Problem must be with some other control. Any ideas where to turn next?

Default Timer or Control panel

I opend the front door panel. An inexperienced look says it's got to either be the timer or the control module. I'm tempted to buy the timer on line for about $55 even tho is cycles through ok. I assume it delivers the signal to the input valve. or does that come from the control panel?

I know the input valve will open and deliver water and the float swicth has continuity

The control panel will be about $90.

Assume I'm looking at about $200 for a repairman to test and fix

I guess I could pay the diagnose fee about $80

Any suggestions?

Default GE no water in

By applying separate power to the leads on the inlet valve, water entered the dishwasher. The feed to the valve is copper

thx
