Hi to all out there. Moved into new construction home 4 years ago that had this model dishwasher installed. I find it to be a noisy unit by nature. As of lately unit very noisy and loud at start up, like unit under strain. I don't know what function of cycle is at start up--a pre drain or something? Any suggestions or thoughts? Thank you. D

At atart up the pump comes on. Then it fills with water, and then the motor comes on. So if you hear the noise at start up it is most likely the pump. Replace it. It would be worth the repair. If you need me you can reach me at my web site at ApplianceEducator.com Tom
