Default Dishwasher Lower Door Seal Leaking
Brand: KitchenAid
Model Number: KUDS255SHAL 1
Age: 1 - 4 years

I replaced both door seals on the DW. The lower seal at the bottom. Does not seem to be big enough to fill the gap and allows water to leak out on the floor. First off I had to glue the seal in place as it kept falling off on the inside door cover. I can get it to stop leaking if I stick a 1/4" foam weatherproofing seal on top of the seal and its' full length. That works for a while (About a month) until the hot water gets to it and it falls off. The seal even when it was brand new was as hard as a rock. Help Folks I Am Sick And Tired Of Bailing.

Can you please verify your model number as I can not locate it in our database?

Is the water level to high?

Sorry about that. The Model # is KUDS25SHAL 1. I had one extra five in there. As for the water level I have never touched it, but how would I check it or readjust it?

Thanks,
Duane

The water level should be just below the heating element.

If it is over that it is to high.

Check and make sure that the float is moving freely.

You should hear it click when you move it up.

Is your water pressure between 25 and 100 psi at the dishwasher?

Here is a link to your dishwasher model KUDS25SHAL 1.
