Default Dishwasher leaking underneath
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: gsd2000zo5wh
Age: 5 - 10 years

I discoverd my dishwasher was leaking whne I found a wet spot on the carpet on the other side of the kitchen cabinets. I opened up the bottom thinking I would find a leaking water line or drain hose, but it doesn't appear to be it. The leak seems to be coming from a plastic looking item in front of where the drain hose connect to the bottom of the washer, and it has several springs connected to it. It also looks like it has quite a bit of mineral residue on it. Water is collecting under the motor on the floor as well, but since its just dripping slightly, I wonder how the carpet got wet 3 feet away. Perhaps it is leaking more if I let the cycle run farther?

In any case, is anyone familiar with this issue and have any advice?

Here is your parts breakdown
GE GSD2000Z05WH

Your proper Model Number is gsd2000z05wh, not gsd2000zo5wh

Sounds like you have a small leak at the wash/drain solenoid but also another larger leak.
Get a pan to catch the water, run a cycle and find the large leak.
A turkey baster can be used to remove water from the pan (as it will have to be fairly shallow to fit under the pump assy). Also good to get most of the water out of the unit once the leak is found.

A small mirror and a flashlight are also helpful in finding leaks

Default Found the leak

I watched it through, and as soon as the first wash cycle ended, it started to leak heavily from that same part in the front with the springs, which appears to be a valve of some kind. When it opened water started running out. I am attaching apic, the leak come from the top where all the mineral deposits are.

If the leak is from the gate valve shaft and the shaft etc. is in good shape, items 417 and 415 in the Motor Pump Mechanism section should do the trick.

Click on the part number (blue print), a new page will open, scroll down and there is help from others who have used this part.
