I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM AS POSTED BEFORE, AND THE ONLY ANSWER I CAN FIND FROM THE EXPERTS IS "WHAT IS THE WATER PRESSURE? When the dishwasher starts there is a flood of water coming out of the clear plastic water inlet on the outside left side of the dishwasher. It is not plugged up. The water inlet appears to be an "open" device so I am wondering if there might be "something" in the inlet valve/solenoid that retards the water flow so the water inlet will not be overwhelmed and that "something" is not working. Would replacing the inlet valve/solenoid be the solution? IT APPEARS TO BE BOTH A WATER FILL AND VENT SYSTEM TO PREVENT OVERPRESSURIZATION OF THE TUB?

You are right that it is a air break as well as the fill spout.

Check the vent in the door to see it is not blocked.

If your water pressure is good not to low or high and the vent in the door is not blocked change the water inlet valve.

For All You Out There Experincing Dishwasher Water Leaks And Can't Find The Leak. I Found The Root Cause Of My Leak. Mineral Build-up In The Fill Spout..the Fix Is To Clean The Inside Of The Spout With A Small Orifice Brush..just Thought I Would Share This Info. With The Rest Of The Diy Folks Out There..i Was One Step From Purchasing A New Dishwasher And Now My Ten Yr Old Dishwasher Can Be Returned To Service.
