A Model Number would help
Could be a water level problem, a water temperature problem or a partially plugged filter in the unit.
Water level is the easiest to check so start there. Especially if the unit sounds different during a wash.
Start a wash
When filled, add some hot water to it. Normal water level is just under the heating element but not high enough to activate the float switch.
You may hear the difference right away, a much stronger splashing of the water
If that solves the problem
Then remove your water valve
There is a filter screen in it, that is probably partially clogged.
You may have loosed some crud in the supply line when you replaced your motor
You may have to take it apart to clean the screen properly
Do not run the unit without a screen. It is there to prevent crud from getting into the valve and holding it open which would cause a flood. |
