I can't detach the white and back wires (on the latch unit) that are attached to a white rectangle box (for lack of a better word) and the box is fitted on to 2 prongs.

How do I detach the box from the prongs?

The plugs are usually very tight
Do not pull on the wires, they do not come out of the whits plug
Pull on the white plug while moving it side to side
If this does not work, tahe a flat screwdriver and pry between the plug and the case
