Default Dishwasher dirty around float bulb
Brand: Kenmore
Model Number: 665.1602
Age: Less than 1 year

The first few months with the new dishwasher were perfect but in the last month or so the utensils started coming out "grey". I changed the rinse liquid level but really hasn't made a difference. Looking back I think the dishwasher also started looking dirty around the float bulb at the same time.

The dishwasher drains properly and generally the dishes are clean but there is a grime build up around the float that I constantly have to scrub away.

When the problem started with the utensils I took the lower arm off and cleaned the filter screens completely although they were not overly dirty.

Is this a simple case of a clogged drain hose that needs cleaning out? As mentioned, the tub empties completely and finishes all cycles with no errors.

Thank you for your time.

Can you please supply the end of your model number.

Can you send a picture of the inside of the dishwasher and what the utensils look like?

This could be a reaction of the detergent and your water.

Without seeing it it is hard to say.
